A new home for the State Library of Victoria's Newspaper Collection

Bringing Them Home: NLA Oral History Pilot Project
In response the recommendations of the inquiry into the stolen generations, the NLA is being funded to undertake a pilot oral history project to record the testimonies of Indigenous people and others involved in the forcible removal of children.

Preservation of census forms
Media release from the Australian Society of Archivists. A Parliamentary inquiry has recommended that name-identified information from future censuses be kept for the benefit of future generations. The Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) has expressed strong support for the Committee's conclusions.
