'Archives and History' at the AHA Conference (Added 2 July 1998) 'Archives and History' will be the topic of a forum sponsored by the National Archives of Australian and the Australian Historical Association at the AHA Annual Conference in Sydney. The forum, to be held on Friday 10 July, will examine the question 'How can historians provide input to an archive about the type of material that should be retained out of the huge bulk of records that are created by government?'. Speakers will include Steve Stuckey (Assistant Director-General Government Services, NAA) and Dr Hilary Golder (author of Documenting a Nation, the history of Australian Archives). The facilitator will be Lucy Talsa. Primary Source will bring you a report of the forum and the editors hope that discussion of the issues raised can be continued within these pages.
